I realized recently that social networks are pretty new online (in the grand scheme of things). At least they seem to just be really exploding now with the advent of Facebook, Live Journal, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. You can keep track of the day to day activities of your friends (or complete strangers). And for all the kids using the online social networks now, none of us are getting any younger.
Think FTD would like a little widget to send flowers to recently deceased people on your friends list? Will we start seeing Amazon wishlists with Depends adult diapers and Viagra?
Perhaps someday I'll get to scatter my virtual ashes over Strangle Thorn Vale.

DAMN RIGHT I'M STILL ALIVE
Welcome back!
i think what i like most is the floating dual monitors. i also wonder that in this scenario, it would be next of kin that changes the online status from "thoughtful" to "dead" or we'd all be monitored by our computers.
Good to see you again.
I like that we have the future technology for floating monitors and embedded keypads ... but still have rickity old wheelchairs.
