Told You I Was Skinny In The Future
So much for the last bastion of privacy in the house.
Things are going very well so far in the Inkyverse. The strip seems to be firing on all cylinders, the site is growing (as is the traffic) and I am very pleased in the directions I am pushing myself artistically. Sure, it means some late nights, but I am so much happier not having "finger puppets" (dialogue between two characters facing each other and only seen from the waist up) all the time.
Plus I am getting in lots of sketching and general learning in my spare time ... what there is of it. The strip is truly a labor of love, and the fact I am loving the labor more this time around helps all the more.
Thanks to everyone who has sent well wishes so far and for all the links around the web that are helping me rebuild my audience. It's a good feeling to know you've been missed and it really helps stoke the creative fires.

you have no idea how much we love having the funny back. To be honest this was the first webcomic I ever read back in november of 2000, man working in a computer lab in college was boring, but I found Inktank, and have had laughs ever since
I like the detail in the new strip, for example, today with the drops of water coming down in the last panel. And I just realized in that last panel, with you in the shower curtain, it reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes type drawing, with the expression and how the hair is drawn.
And aren't kids fun, it's even better when they are pounding on the bathroom door after you've learned to lock it. And this is after you made sure they were busy with something else while you go to take a break. Or talking on the phone is guaranteed to bring any children into your immediate vicinity complete with noisemakers and yelling.
I was just bragging up Angst Technology and moaning about how you only had archived stuff... and WOW! You're BACK! I can scream, because it's the internet and you can always filter me. :)
So glad you're drawing and sharing it.

must.... not... post...
alas, my will is weak.
todays strip reminded me of something i picked up from your comic. see that mirror image, and how it's a little grayed out? you used to do some backgrounds similar to that in the other 3 strips, and it was something i thought was awesome immediately. so i do that now too. thanks for the unintended tip.
I am still laughing at that expression in the mirror in the second panel.
Glad you're back. Enjoyed Angst quite a bit before you went away.
Now that you're flexing your artistic muscle, it's good to see the end result.
Oh...and todays comic is a perfect illustration of how I felt the first time on the john with a magazine, and my son walked in. Guess I need a new office. :)
