My Bad

I am a silly, silly man. I have this current storyline plotted out with little notes and sketches and what not and as I sat down last night to do my strip I checked my notes and merrily doodled away and when I got to the lettering stage ... I realized I had done the wrong strip.

It was my typical late night and too late to start anew, so I will post today's strip a little bit later today after I get home from work. The good news it that next Monday's strip is done and in the queue. So ... I've got that going for me.

If your worried about missing a strip (or even a Blog post like this) you can always subscribe to the comic strip's RSS feed, or the separate news/Blog feed. That way you'll not miss a bit of InkTank goodness. Or my ramblings.

Again, my apologies. I have endeavored to keep the schedule on time and luckily, through a conversation with a friend last night, I think I have a plan to get a buffer created that should allow me to just rely solely on the database to do the postings. Perhaps I'll even add a little counter somewhere on the site indication how many strips are in the queue and ready to post. Hmmm...that might be interesting.

I'll see you all (please?) later tonight.

Sure; I'll be here whenever the comic is.

And if you can ramble, I can ramble too, so here goes.

I've been reading your stuff since AT was posted on Gamespy. I think Angst was the first webcomic I ever read in seriousness, and I always found it funny. Eventually, it got so that I'd type "www.inktank.com" whenever I sat down at a web browser. I was disappointed a while ago when you went on hiatus, but what can you do? Life happens, and you've gotta deal with it.

A quirk I have - and I often wonder if this is just me - is that, if I'm just looking to kill some time on the net, but can't think of where I want to go, I'll just end up typing the first couple letters of a familiar URL, out of habit; say SomethingAwful or boingboing or something. But most of the time, I'd find myself typing "www.ink...", falling into that old habit where AT would be the first webcomic I'd check after launching my browser. One day recently, I decided to give in to the old habit, and actually visit what I thought would be your archives, for nostalgia's sake.

Wham, I got a face full of Dick in a Can, and ended up in hysterics. Glad to see you're back, man. I missed your sense of humour and your strips. Thanks for doing what you do.

I don't suppose I can salvage any dignity by saying I liked it?

A que counter will ruin the magic, we'll start demanding you go daily if it gets too big.

Think of the rioting mob!

You seem to like temporal paradoxes Barry.

I remember when you were going to take a ride in the DeLorian/TARDIS (take your pick) to judge the contest entries before they were even submitted... :P
