On A Roll

Oh man, what a great few days. I’ve got the next dozen or so strips plotted out and had a full day today to just do pencils and get things started. I should be able to post strip up to about May 13th or 15th and only be a few behind then. Plus this lays the ground work for the vasectomy storyline.

Since the layoff I have been poking around for jobs, taking the girls out for day trips for quality family time, and generally resting and recuperating since my “procedure”. Luckily though my wife took the little ones all day today so I could have some quality me time and get a running start to get back up to cartooning speed.

And speaking of quality time, you can see me speak at FanimeCon 2009this coming Saturday and Sunday at the San Jose Convention Center. That’s right, InkTank LIVE and in yo’ FACE! I will be speaking on two webcomic related panels hosted by Scott Vancil of Hell Has Found Me.

Nice! Wish I could be there but San Jose is about 8600km from where I live… Not exactly a feasible destination for a weekend trip! ;-)

Enjoy it though, the convention center and Marriot are pretty nice, I was there several years ago for GDC.

You PLAN your comics out? I really need to start listening to the pros more often… Sadly, it always seems I’m coming up with a gag right around the time I’m putting our kids to sleep.

Good luck with juggle duex – it was a game changer for us. :) “Alright, one’s taking a nap, so I can… Oh. Right. OK sweetie, let’s play…”

Sort of planned out. I at least write down the idea then flesh out the actual dialogue. At least on anything resembling a story line. I want to make sure I have all my gags lined up and they are in an order that makes sense. One offs, or stand alone gags, I can just drop in whenever.

Loved the Sunday panel! Great job!

Hey thanks Meggyn. We had a good turn out and some really great questions. It really is the audience that can make oar break a pannel sometimes. =)

I typed in inktank.com on a whim to find that there are actually comics here again! Angst Tech. was the first webcomic I ever read (found it via a Dungeon Siege fan site), so it’s amazing to see you back and doing what I love. :D
