Just like the beginning of all great things, Inktank started with a big bang in Vegas. Like all newbies, Inktank was excited about visiting Vegas for the first time. We knew the moment was right for Inktank to be released on the world, but now it was time to show everyone what we’re made of.
There were many suggested locations for the launch party including Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and the Moon, but we decided on Chateau at Paris Hotel, an outdoor terrace with a view that was unanimously agreed upon as perfect for the occasion.

As the sun disappeared into the darkness, all involved, in the spirit of Vegas, became alive and partied to the music of the one and only Alistair Croll of O’Reilly Media (AKA DJ MapleJuice); see below.
Inktank had many old friends in attendance, mainly from its extremely generous parent DreamHost who has always been so kind. Of course new friends who we just met at Interop, were there to celebrate the launch of Inktank.
Everyone truly had a fantastic time and why wouldn’t they considering they were drinking our signature drink for the evening, the almighty “Inktanker”, a combination of goodness and inkiness that brought a kick to the party.
It was a momentous occasion and an all-round epic experience for Inktank and those who were involved. Inktank will surely be back to Vegas many times, but it will always remember its first.
