I know its not history month or maybe it is but we’re making Inktank history this week by exhibiting and sponsoring two events at the exact same time. This week we will be exhibiting at HostingCon in Boston at booth #532 and at OSCON in Portland in the startup section booth #P2.
There is plenty going on this week that you should definitely not miss. Today is a big day at OSCON, Hastexo’s Florian Hass will be moderating a BoF session called Ceph: object storage, block storage, file system, replication, massive scalability, and then some! and he will be joined by Ross Turk, legendary VP, Community here at Inktank. That same evening, Ross Turk will be stirring up the storage industry with his Ignite OSCON presentation starting at 5.30pm PST. Just imagine a billion hotel rooms and you stand in the elevator, what do you do? Translate that to storage and you have Ceph. Trust me, I have seen the material he will be presenting and I assure you, you do not want to miss this!
Interested in Gaming? Then you definitely don’t want to miss the DreamHost party! They’re going to have lots of arcade games and bevs so I don’t know about you but it sounds like a party to me!
Anyway, interested in Ceph or have storage problems? We’ll will show you the light! Come by our booth at either event.

The presentation was recorded, yep – they had what looked like very nice cameras all over the place. I asked whether it would be available and they told me that it would…but I still don’t see it on the site. If they don’t post it by next week, I’ll take the slides and record a voiceover for YouTube. Heck, I may do that anyway.
