InkTank’s 2012 Bucket List
No New Year’s resolutions here. No-sir-ee. This is a list of things I want to do in 2012 in no particular order.
- Play with the kids in the snow
- Buy a Jeep
- Publish a book
- Participate in NaNoWiMo
- Go backpacking
- Launch new site
- Host a pannel at a con
- Take up archery
- Learn an instrument
- Make InkTank Studios profitable
As of this writing I have at least done one thing on my list: launch a new site. 2011 was such a great year for me, both personally and professionally, but things just sort of fell into place for me. I stumbled though 2011 on blind luck and the year ended with me only really doing one thing I’ve wanted to do for a long time: participate in “Novembeard”. So, with 2012 upon us and with a solid foundation at home and at work, I think I will try to steer eforts towards accomplishing more things on my overall bucket list. Some are pretty far fetched, some are pretty straightforward and/or in the planning stage and at least one is done now.
So, after many false re-starts, spotty posting schedules, severe site hacking, etc. this new site will be my launchig pad for these things, as well as many other unwritten goals.
So tell me, what’s on your bucket list?

Well, not sure if it counts as a bucket list, but here’s my 2012 list, in the order they come to me:
1. Launch a new site with 4+ weekly updates
2. Participate in NaNoWriMo and/or NaNoDrawMo
3. Learn to drive a stick
4. Buy a new car
5. Get onto Facebook, see what the buzz is about
6. Master riding the unicycle
7. See more than 3 inches of snow at one time
8. Go camping
9. Start my own business for part-time endeavors
10. Try not to lose too much money on #9
If anyone were grading this, they might think I was cheating off you. Honest, teacher, I wasn’t!
I wish you the best of luck in your life, Barry!

As an amateur writer, I have done NaNoWriMo (successfully) the last two years and have had a blast at it. I already can not wait for this years, already have an inkling of what my story is going to be about. On a related note, I have so many stories going that I plan on doing a WriMo style marathon soon to finish another of my tales. I will start working on editing last years WriMo tale in the next few days.
Anyways, welcome back and good luck on the bucket list!

Bucket List… umm… Two things. 1.) Become a superstar video game designer (at least at the level of Kojima or Miyamoto) who changes the world through the content of the games I make. 2.) Raise two kids that make the world better.
For now, though, I’ll go ahead and just settle for getting you (and maybe the world) to stop doing “Under Construction” pages during remodels so that we can get to the old content while you fix things up. (Unlike a physical store, you DON’T actually have to close down during remodels. Just make an “Under Construction” post or comic page and rebuild behind the scenes. You can then take a single day to both take down the old site and put up the new.) Please. I needs me some Asia Vampires Online.

Ouch! Your right. I forgot I put “Coming Soon!” up there. I’ll make it something fun instead. The site is a bit slapdash though since I planed to launch the site late December and it took me a week of installs and re-installs to get a stable, secure WP install going. Typically it’s a five minute install, but I was being EXTRA careful this time, so as not to leave myself vulnerable to attack again.
Plus, the comics will be their own site and will have a perma-link here on this page. I am shooting for mid-January at the absolute latest to have this station fully operational. Er…website.
This website that can destroy a planet.

I have a huge bucket list. One is getting some sorta of podcast up and running again (interested?), and another is seeing Weird Al in concert.
