Creating Angst Technology
NOTE: This “how to” guide was written in 2000. My method has changed a bit over the years, but I feel this is still a viable process for many cartoonists.
I get a lot of questions (mostly from my extended family) about how I do a daily cartoon. They seem pretty amazed I can do a daily cartoon, until I remind them that other people have been doing daily cartoons in the newspapers for years. Of course I think their surprise is centered on the fact that it’s me doing a daily cartoon.
Well, to answer all of their questions, and hopefully yours, I’ve put together this little section about how I make my daily cartoon, Angst Technology. I hope you find it educational.
Seeing as how this would have been a hella long page, I’ve broken the series up and given each step it’s own page. This should also help if you just need to skip to a particular step.
